Let me warn you - this is a little stinky!

This sulphur shampoo uses 3% sulfur to help decrease the severity of future scalp flare-ups and issues caused by yeast and fungus. Sulphur is combined with my hair-healthy blend of oils to create a shampoo bar that gently cleanses while helping soothe itching, irritation and flaking on the scalp.

This shampoo is best used as a treatment and not as an everyday shampoo. My testers found that scrubbing up with the sulfur shampoo EVERY OTHER time they showered was ideal.

Also, while any lingering scent isn’t noticeable in those with short hair, I have found that I don’t like to use it along the lengths of my longer hair. When using, I lather up and wash my scalp and rinse. Then I’ll suds up the lengths of my hair and wash with another (more enjoyable) shampoo bar.

You might notice crystals on the outside of the bar - that is the sulphur migrating to the outside of the bar.  It's very normal and expected.  :)

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Distilled Water, Lye, Lemon Essential Oil, Sulfur, Clary Sage Essential Oil, Basil Essential Oil, and Cayenne Pepper.

I think it’s working!

I’ve only used the shampoo a few times but so far this is helping my very dry, itchy and flaky scalp. I have struggled with finding a product that works on this stubborn dandruff and this is my last stop before getting a prescription for a steroid shampoo. I have long, thick and curly hair and I am happy to find a product that is natural…personally I don’t think it smells too bad! I thought it would dry out my hair but it doesn’t! I am glad I found Emily’s Homestead and look forward to trying more of her products.
